Hello! I have decided to launch my blog! I have lots of tips I want to share and photos I want to show you, but I thought I'd start with the slightly less interesting topic of... me! It felt strange starting a blog without an introducing myself first, so here we go!

I'm Natasha, I'm 26, my pronouns are she/her, and I'm a photographer from Leicestershire who now lives in Oxfordshire. I have worked as a professional photographer for 5 years, prior to that I studied photography and University (and got a first might I add!) and before that I studied photography at A-level and at GCSE. It sounds cliche but I have always loved photography. Throughout my childhood my parents took us on lot of walks, at places like, bradgate park and sherwood forrest and I always had my camera with me. I was very lucky that my parents always encouraged my interest in photography and didn't mind waiting endlessly for me to photograph flowers or sheep or do an impromptu photoshoot of my sibling.

I have hundreds and hundreds of photos of my family and this is something that I will forever be grateful for. I lost my dad when I was 20, so I'm really glad I took lots of photos of him.

My dad was my biggest champion, when it came to my photography, amd more broadly my life. he spent hours reading reviews in 'What Camera' magazine to work out what was the best camera in my price range and helped me with extra money to buy it. He held an umbrella over me and my camera when I was taking photographs in the snow, he posed for photos with an arc light that we rigged up in his garage and stayed up late to help me cut out photos to stick into my sketchbook when I had deadlines looming.

Losing my dad taught me how important it is to capture your memories and photograph your loved ones. It's a real privilege that I'm now able to capture your memories and photograph the people that you love, so you have lovely photos to look back on too.

Okay, enough sadness, I want you to stick around! Let's do a quick fire get to know me, I got these questions from the interent, so please excuse the strange selection!

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I would say I'm an ambivert (a mixture of the two)! But more and more I seem to be becoming an extrovert, I just love chatting to people!

Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest?

I'd say sight! I'm very lucky to have 2020 vision and its what I use to do my job!

What do you do to keep fit?

Shoot weddings! Honestly, after my last wedding my arms where really achey! I think I did a lot of holding my camera up high during the dancing!

What's your roman empire?

Cults! I think about them probably once a day and I love watching documentaries and listening to podcasts about them!

What is your favourite so far this year?

My favourite book of the year is Educated by Tara Westover, I've been really into memoirs recently.

What are your hobbies?

My main hobby at the moment is crotchet, I've been teaching myself, and have just finished my first blanket for my cat.

Whats your favourtie song?

My favourite song is Dime Store Cowgirl by Kacey musgraves, who I got to see live last month!

Do you like or dislike surprises? I love suprises!

If money was no object, what would you do all day?

Explore new places with my camera and try to take photos of all of the local cats.

What kitchen appliance do you use every day?

The Kettle, I drink so much tea, I get it from my dad's side of the family, we all drink tea all day long.

Whats your sexuality?

Okay I added this one on purpose! I'm bisexual but as I'm in a relationship with a man, I think most people assume that I'm straight! I wanted to put this out there because A, its pride month and B, I want all potential clients to know that I'm a safe space for the lgbtqia+ community. And also because I really want to photograph more queer weddings!

Now I'm going to chat about the different kinds of photography thats I provide.

My life at the moment. I live with my wonderful partner, Andy in Eynsham with the friendliest cat in the world, George. Sometimes I have a lot of work on, and sometimes I don't, and sometimes I worry about that. I have made a lovely network of friends here which makes it feel like home. In the work day, if I'm not out shooting I'm at home editing or generally running my business. And on the weekends if I'm not photographing a wedding or lifestyle shoot, myself and my partner are decorating our house and attempting to grow flowers in the garden!
